Your Trainer & Coach

I started in radio in 1989 and worked every seat in the building—from announcer to general manager. Along the way I learned what most talent never sees: how spots get green-lit, why reads get rejected, and what busy producers actually listen for.

Since then I’ve narrated dozens of audiobooks, voiced countless e-learning programs, and produced thousands of radio commercials, station imaging, and national campaigns for brands like Lenovo and Lucid Mattress. I’ve also written and narrated audio books of my own.

In 2008, I launched Commercials By The Dozen, a production shop that still runs today—proof that reliability, speed, and clean audio never go out of style.

What I teach isn’t theory. It’s the exact blend of performance, production, and business that turned a radio kid into a working voiceover pro. If you’re a beginner, I’ll help you avoid the time-wasters. If you’re a radio veteran, I’ll help you shed the “announcer voice” and book the work clients actually want today.

No fluff. No mystical “golden voice.” Just clear reps, smart coaching, and a demo you’re proud to send.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the training delivered?

All core training is done in live video sessions with me, one-on-one. This lets you get direct feedback on your reads, your mic technique, and your delivery. There’s also an option to join group training sessions, where you’ll learn alongside other students and hear feedback on a variety of voices.

Do I need professional equipment to start?

Nope. You do not need a high-end microphone to begin training. We’ll start with what you have so you can focus on performance and fundamentals. However, by the end of the course — when you’re creating your professional demo — you will need to have a quality microphone. Don’t worry, I’ll guide you on exactly what to get without overspending.

What are your credentials as a voiceover coach?

I bring real-world experience from every angle of the business:

  • Dozens of audiobooks narrated and produced.

  • Hundreds of radio commercials written, voiced, and produced.

  • Radio station imaging heard across markets.

  • National Clients:  Vvoiceovers for clients like Lenovo, Lucid Mattresses and others.

  • Add to that my years in radio and association with the award-winning production company (Commercials By The Dozen), and you get training from someone who’s done the work — not just talked about it.
What if I’m nervous about live coaching?

That’s normal — almost everyone is at first! The one-on-one format is designed to be supportive, not intimidating. You’ll get constructive, actionable feedback, and we’ll focus on progress, not perfection.

Do you cover both performance and business?

Yes. You’ll learn how to perform, but also how to find work, build a demo, market yourself, and connect with agents. This isn’t just “how to sound good,” it’s “how to get paid doing it.”

Can I make money in voiceover as a side hustle?

Absolutely. Many of my students start VO as a side hustle from home while keeping their day job. Some grow it into a full-time career. The course shows you both paths — so you can choose what works for you.

Do I need to have a “great voice”?

Not at all. Today’s VO market doesn’t want “perfect radio voices.” It wants authentic, real people who sound like they’re talking to one person. Whether your voice is smooth, quirky, deep, or bright — we’ll find the niches that fit you.
